Qualifications and experience are important but your energy, enthusiasm, willingness to learn and a desire to share your language with your students are essential.

You will be joining an experienced team of teachers who deliver high-quality courses to professionals. Courses take place online and in person on EW or client premises, throughout Luxembourg.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for enthusiastic

new teachers of Luxembourgish to join our experienced team of teachers. People who are interested and open to learning what language training is, who want to work with adults, who have native or near native Luxembourgish, and who are willing to commit time and effort to developing their skills.

experienced teachers willing and able to teach all levels and all types of classes, including groups, one to one, online, in person, exam preparation, general and business Luxembourgish;
and who are committed to on-going professional development.

You should be

Creative – creating and planning engaging and relevant courses, lessons and activities to enable learning.
Proactive – anticipate and react to problems appropriately; able to work alone as well as within a team.
Flexible – in approach and able to adapt to the students’, clients and EW’s needs
Organised – keeping class and course records and reports, when required and on time.

Free training course

For new and inexperienced language teachers of Luxembourgish as a foreign language (LaF).

This is an introduction to teaching Luxembourgish as a foreign language. It will give you knowledge and practice of some of the language teaching basics required to start teaching Luxembourgish to adults.

Entry requirements

To apply for this course, you should have a native or near native level of Luxembourgish, spoken and written.

You should enjoy your language and have the enthusiasm to learn and to share, patience to work with learners and flexibility to adapt to learners’ needs and learning – no two courses are the same.

You do not need to have taught Luxembourgish previously.

Price

This course is free to those accepted onto the programme and who will work with English World as LaF trainers. Conditions apply.
